It's going to be sweet to see red, blue and green teams all over the island tomorrow when the new Sport catalog comes out! Last week we asked you to talk about your favorite sport on the island. Avril51 said:
I love playing ice hockey at the rink! It's really fun playing it with my buddies. We are always on the red team, but the blue team rocks too! It's also fun watching and cheering both teams on! Rock on CP!
Being on a team is cool. Can't wait to see if any green teams get going....

Happy77 Talks Sports Catalog
Greetings Penguins!
We're excited that Friday is just around the corner because there's a brand new Snow & Sport catalog that'll be released in the Sport Shop. I wanted to know a bit more about that catalog so I asked someone who works on it. Here goes:
How often do you make a new Snow & Sport catalog?
Four times a year. We started to put the months on the front of the catalog so you'll see when the next issue is coming!
If there was a candy-eating sport, would any of you make the finals? What sort of outfit would you make for that?
We'd eat our weight in candy and more! In fact, here's a sketch we just created that we think would be awesome to wear if there were a candy eating sport (We know there's no candy eating sport. This outfit is not in the catalog - it's just for fun!).
Hmmm. Too bad there ISN'T a sport like that! Let us know what you think! What sort of imaginative sporting outfits would you like to see in the Snow and Sport catalog?

New Stage Today!
Hello Penguins!
We've traded clouds for claws - today the play Underwater Adventure starts at the Stage!
The team's really excited about the Stage's new catalog - did you check it out yet? There's lots of buzz about how cool it might be for penguins to wear a lobster costume - and I have to admit I can't wait to see some of the crazy mix & matches you guys are going to create with them...

Got your director hats ready? You guys sent in some cool Underwater Adventure ideas last week when we asked what kind of sea stories you'd write about if you had the chance! Here's one that the team really liked:
I would write about a mermaid that is looking for lost treasure and meets a fish and a squid who join her along the way. Then when they find the treasure chest they open it up and it is just filled with chocolate coins. The mermaid, the squid, and the fish learn the treasure that counts is friendship, and the story would end by the three friends eating the chocolate coins!

And speaking of brand new stuff, next week there's a new Snow and Sport catalog being released. So we want to know... What's the sport you like to play most with your buddies on the island?

Happy77 talks new play!
Greetings Penguins!
There's a new play at the Stage on Friday called Underwater Adventure. I know lots of you are curious about it, so I talked to some of the artists who worked on it. Here's the scoop:
What inspired you about doing the costumes?
For one of them, a delicious meal I once had was the inspiration... Mmm...so tasty...
Tell us something cool about the set!
There's an entire sea castle to climb in! And a secret shadowy sea creature in the distance.
For this play, are there treats underwater?
Well, chocolate bars tend to get a little soggy, and cotton candy is a mess...we could have tried sea salt taffy - but I'm pretty sure we didn't.
It starts Friday! Head down then and make a splash.

Party Extended (& a play on its way)!
Hello Penguins!
Since the Festival of Flight party started, lots of you have been asking for it to stay past the 18th. So guess what? Don't pack up your jetpacks and propeller caps just yet because we're going to keep Club Penguin in the air for longer than planned!
The Festival of Flight will stay up until August 20 - just in time for the Underwater Adventure to start on August 21 at the Stage!! We hope you're using your aviator glasses - soon you may be trading them in for lobster claws...

Festival of Flight takes off!
Hello Penguins!
Today Club Penguin is in the sky!! The Festival of Flight party is finally here. Lots of you seem to be liking the new green propeller hat and checking out the view from the floor in the Night Club. Members can ride on a Hot Air Balloon and visit the Tallest Mountain where they'll find their own jetpack. The team thinks it's cool how a bunch of penguins are on the Iceberg throwing snowballs at the island above...
Let us know what you think of the new view.
In other news: The team's set it up so that now you can hear your instruments at the Lighthouse stage! We hope you and your band will have fun practicing there.

Are you as excited as I am? Festival of Flight starts tomorrow. It's going to be pretty amazing to have Club Penguin floating in the air.
Last week we asked you about your ideas for how you might help Gary lift the island. Lots of cool ideas came in. Here are some from Limeg6 who said:
There is a lot of ways we can help Gary. These are the ways I will be using! First I will blow up balloons with the Super Helium. Next I will use my propeller to lift Club Penguin off the ground! Then I will fill up hot air balloons. I would tie balloons around everything! I will tie a balloon to the Iceberg and everywhere!
Thanks! You'll have to let us know tomorrow what you think about the solution Gary came up with...
The party will go from August 14 - 18 and then on the 20th (Friday) you'll find a brand new, never before seen play at the Stage! It's called Underwater Adventure.... This week, we'd really love to know: If you could write a script for an Underwater Adventure, what would it be about?

Screenhog on Festival of Flight!
Hi everyone! Screenhog here!
Penguins may not be able to fly, but that doesn't mean that Club Penguin can't! In a few days, for the first time ever, Club Penguin will be an island in the sky.
When we first thought of the idea of putting Club Penguin in the sky, we loved it, but then we started asking ourselves some questions. What happens to the Beach or the coastline of the Cove? Can penguins still play Hydro-Hopper? And what does a device powerful enough to lift an entire island even look like, and where would we put it?
For the full answer you'll have to wait until the party, but I can show you this behind-the-scenes concept art from when we were trying to answer all these questions ourselves:

A Party & A Play!

There's tons of buzz about the Festival of Flight party that's coming August 14 - 18...and lots of creative stuff happening all over the island. Lots of you are already helping to get ready:
We've also heard that some of you were wondering if the Underwater Adventure was going to be another party like the Festival of Flight, but it's actually going to be a brand new Stage play! It'll start on August 21 - just in time for you to trade your flight-gear into fish-tails.

Did today's newspaper article about Gary help you figure it out? We really liked reading your answers to last week's question about Gary's inventions. Barkra said:
