Making Friends
In Club Penguin, you can make friends, or buddies, with other penguins. You may be buddies with only penguins you've met in real life, or just anyone in Club Penguin, so long as they agree to be your buddy.
Buddy List
The buddy list is an alphabetized list of all your buddies, 8 per page, from which you can access their player card, their igloo, and send them mail. You can view your buddy list by clicking the smiley face icon on the left side of your chat bar. Your buddy list can hold up to 100 buddies.
Advantages of Being Buddies
- You can visit their igloo anytime
- You can view their player card anytime
- You can see what servers you have buddies on, and what room they're in by clicking the question mark button on their player card (once you're in the same server as them)
- You can send them postcards anytime
(you can use features 1,2, and 4 even while they're offline)
Becoming buddies
You can become buddies with other penguins by sending them buddy requests. You do this by accessing their player card and clicking the smiley face at the bottom where the number of coins is displayed on your player card. When they reply to your buddy request you'll get a message telling if they agreed or not. When you receive a buddy request or a reply to one of your buddy requests it will appear in the upper left corner of the screen, next to your newspaper and mailbag. It will tell you who sent it and give you a choice of yes or no. Click yes and you will be buddies. Their name should appear on your buddy list in the appropriate place after a successful joining of buddies. You can only become buddies with penguins in the same room and server as you. When you or anyone you sent a buddy request to logs off, that pending buddy request will be erased.
Deleting Buddies
To delete a buddy, or remove them from your buddy list, you must first access their player card. Then click the smiley face icon with the red X over it. They will no longer be your buddy. When you are deleted from someone else's buddy list, you will not be notified in any way besides them being gone from your buddy list.
