What are Pins?

Pins are items that when worn can be seen in your profile underneath your signature. You can purchase pins under the "Pins" section in the various VMK shops. Some pins are only released for a limited time, and these are usually found under the "Specials" tab in the VMK stores. Often VMK will release pins in a series during the weekends of a particular month, and these pins are made available for purchase in the Emporium.

Wearing Pins

Your character can wear up to fifteen pins to be displayed in your profile. To wear pins, while in the "Pins" section of the inventory screen click on the pin you would like to wear. This pin will now appear in the inventory window with a yellow box around it and an enlarged image of the pin will be displayed on the right. To wear the pin and have is appear in your profile, click the orange "Wear" button. To take a pin off, click on a pin in the "Pins Worn" area of the window and then click the orange button that says "Take Off". You can also choose to "Sell" or "Combine" magic pins of the same time on this screen.Pin Inventory Window

Looking at Other Player's Pins

When you click on a player in the game, their profile appears in a window on the bottom right corner of the screen. This profile gives a lot of information about the player including the pins currently worn. In the profile, all the pins a player is wearing are displayed for all guests to view.
If you want more information about the pin a certain player is wearing click the pin once to see the pin title. The pin's title will appear as white text below fifteen pin slots and the particular pin selected in now highlighted with a yellow box in the profile window.

Total Pin Count?

Do we really want a total pin count? Adding a total pin count is going to be difficult to maintain in my opinion. Also, if you ARE going to do this I would recommend only doing releases pins in the count as the unreleased ones are always subject to change and we never know. Again, the wiki is based upon facts, not speculation. --SpinMarty 19:23, 1 August 2007 (CDT)

I just thought it would be accurate.. as booper has a big official list on VMKForums. --Xiaolin 07:42, 2 August 2007 (CDT)
