Tinkering is a way for you to craft things to help the Fairies get ready for the next season, or even craft your own items using the objects you can find around Pixie Hollow. To craft items, you simply need to visit Copper's Tinkering Nook in Maple Tree Hill.

Tinkering Process

To begin tinkering an item, you need to select a blueprint to use. There are several Blueprints to choose from including furniture, lamps and decorations. Initially, you will only have 3 blueprints available but as you gain Talent Levels new ones will be unlocked.

Aside from the information that you get from the blueprint page, this will show you the number of the blueprint, the ingredients you need, the number of times you have tinkered this blueprint, your highest quality score for the blueprint and the steps involved to make it. To return to the list of blueprints, simply click the "X" in the top right hand corner.

When you've decided which blueprint you want, all you need to do is click on it, then click the Make It! button. At that time you will be sent to the "Choose A Color" screen, where you can choose between several different colors for your item. When you select a color, the image of the item at the top changes to that color to show you what the finished item will look like. When you have found the color you like, click the Next button to begin tinkering.

How to Play

There is only one step to tinkering. At the end of the mini-game, you will be scored with a quality rating judged by how well you play the mini-game.

A random sequence of ingredients — shapes composed of three or four square blocks each — fall down the playing area. The object of the game is to manipulate these playing pieces, by moving each one sideways and rotating it by 90 degree units, to form groups of at least three without any gaps. When such a group is created, it disappears, and any block above the deleted line will fall. The disappearing groups give you points when they are completed and more room to continue playing. You are given exponentially more points for completing multiple groups of different ingredients at a time. Use the arrow keys on your keyboard to guide the pieces into place. Press the left arrow key to move the pieces to the left and the right arrow key to move the pieces to the right. The up arrow key rotates the piece so that it fits into your puzzle. Press the down arrow key for quick drop. Your game is over if the ingredients pile up to the top of the playing area.
