Toontown Release Notes are information posted on the Toontown Website. They provide information on what has been updated and when, from minor bug fixes to the adding of entire playgrounds. The original Release Notes can be found here on the game site (external link).

Open Server

"Open Server" is the name given to the publicly available version of Toontown.

The index below links to the release notes for each year of Toontown.

Test Server

Test Server refers to the limited access server(s) for testing purposes of enhancements/new features.
Test Server Release Notes closely align to the Open Server notes, but also reflect subtle changes as the different issues were worked on.

Test info

I was wondering if we really needed the info about Test on this page? Maybe we could replace it with something like "For more info about the test server see the "Test Server info page(linked to the DOW test server page)"" --Kit T. Kat 08:36, 11 June 2008 (PDT)
Personally I would not have put it there. Now that it is here, I left it because someone saw some value in it. There are some minor differences between Test and Open in terms of what was done, but I have yet to find one of any significance. I suggest that if in as month's time we are still without a strong reason to keep the Test notes then we take the links off (the pages are always recoverable if need be). If we took them off then I wouldn't mention the Test Release Notes at all. The reason I nominate a month is that the pace of this wiki is not rapid. :) Pudgey 13:59, 11 June 2008 (PDT)
I was talking about the info about test under the release notes. I do think the test release notes should be there, Instead of all the release notes in one big page which takes a while to load.--Kit T. Kat 04:47, 12 June 2008 (PDT)
Yes you are probably right. My intent was to provide a brief explanation to show the difference between the Open Release Notes and the test ones. I seem to have got a bit carried away and come up with a truncated version of Test Server Information. I will trim it back and link to the other article. Pudgey 06:42, 13 June 2008 (PDT)
